Hi Michael,

I am half Dutch, my mother comes from a large family in Alphen a/d Rijn and our family own the Van Keeken Schoenen Winkel in Alphen. It has been in the family for at least 5 generations now. I rarely visit The Netherlands nowadays but read and write in Dutch on a regular basis.
